Social Media is Hard!

Many of you may follow us on social media like Facebook, Instagram and TikTok. We are here to tell you social media is a hard monster to crack. There are so many variables that go into making a good post or video. A lot of the times it just feels like plain luck. ‎

We have found many resources that can help with social media, but some of the times it feels those tips don't help out much. There have many times we spend hours filming and editing to get what we think is the right post of video. Only for it to fall flat on it's face. Other times we slap something together really quick and it takes off like a rocket. 

We take what we have learned from different posts and videos and try to replicate the style or the message with different media or copy. Yet again falls flat on its face. Sometimes it feels like going viral is like capturing lightning in a bottle. But we keep pushing posting everyday to see if something catches fire and takes off. 

At times it feel like social media algorithm just can't see us or they have something against us. That might be true but we will never know what is buried in the code of algorithms. I know that if you keep feeding them content it will eventually be found and be pushed out more. But there are times when you no idea what to post about and start feeling anxiety about not feeding it content and not getting more view or likes and loosing the ground you have fought so hard to conquer.  

We do have big plans for 2023, we will be launching a YouTube Channel so we have the opportunity to get out message and brand out on a long form platform. Watch the other social platforms for clips and bits of our YouTube videos. You will likely see some funny bloopers or outtakes or things that got cut from the finished product. 

I know we should not compare ourselves to other on social media that have a big following but it is hard to not compare. You see those numbers and get a little bit jealous. But we understand they have been doing it a lot longer than we have and these things take time. I hope to look back at this blog in a year or so and think we have grown a lot since then. 

It is easy to get discouraged with social media it is a jungle out there and trying to be heard it like hearing a whisper during a football game. We all need to keep pushing forward and making the best content we can. Maybe a megaphone will fall from the sky and we can be heard, highly unlikely but its fun to wish.

I realized this blog post is just a rant and doesn't really give any insights about what to do and doesn't really give any value to the reader. Oh well I feel it is a good way to get things of my chest with out hurting anybody's feelings. I hope you enjoyed my rant about social media.
